Tourism Victoria launched their Insiders’ Guide to Melbourne last week. If you haven’t taken a look yet then text ‘Guide’ (without the quotes) to 0448 848 433 in Australia or +61 448 848 433 from Overseas. (Java Phones & Blackberry devices only - Sorry all you fancy pants iPhone guys).
Working with Publicis Mojo to build out Tourism Victoria’s vision of a city guide was a great experience. We were extremely happy with the final product.
The application has wide ranging compatibility and should work on any Java phone made in the last few years (with the exception of some LG phones) so all you Nokia, SonyEricsson, Samsung, BlackBerry, Motorola,HTC, ZTE give it a whirl.

In May we put together a voice blast campaign for Publicis Mojo and their client Nike to bring awareness to Nike’s Lightweight clothing range.
PublicisMojo provided the assets and we assembled the nuts and bolts. Here’s how it worked.
Nike had instore advertising for their new lightweight clothing. Different states had different numbers keyed to a particular sports celebrity - Nick Riewolt in Victoria, Darren Lockyer in Queensland and Sonny Bill Williams in New South Wales and New Zealand.
People seeing the in store promotion would text ‘Lightweight’ to one of the numbers and get a call back from one of their sports heroes (who would say a few words about Nike Lightweight).
Nice !

Its all about the Handset !
A few weeks ago we launched Handset Detection, a web service which allows your website to detect mobile devices.

We created Handset Detection because we needed to identify mobile devices to send java programs to phones, however it turns out there are heaps of uses for our new service. Which is awesome ! People are using Handset Detection to know what sort of ringtones to send to certain phone types and others are using it to customize web content to small screen sizes.
We’re got plenty of enhancements planned too, so stay tuned. Oh, and if you’re using Handset Detection on a project then write in and let us know.
